User Properties
Business Unit Assignment
Each user is assigned to a specific business unit. This determines:
- Data visibility — The user can see data from their business unit and its descendants
- Available roles — Only roles scoped to the business unit's type are available
- Service context — The user's service is derived from their business unit's type hierarchy
Role Assignment
Roles define what a user can do. A user must have at least one role. The available roles are determined by the business unit type — a user in a "Branch" type business unit can only be assigned roles defined for the "Branch" business unit type.
See Roles for details on creating and configuring roles.
Multi-Service Users
If a user is assigned to business units across multiple services, they can switch between services using the Service Switcher. Each service context has its own role and permission set.
