The Messages page provides internal messaging and notification capabilities within PinkApple ERP.

Messaging Features

Internal Messages

Send messages to other users within your organisation:

• Direct messages — One-to-one communication
• Group messages — Send to multiple recipients
• System notifications — Automated alerts from the platform

Message Types

Type	Description
User Message	Manually sent by a user to other users
System Alert	Generated by the system (approval requests, transaction alerts, etc.)
Notification	Informational notices (period closing, EOD completion, etc.)

Sending a Message

1. Navigate to Communication → Messages
2. Click New Message
3. Fill in:

Field	Description	Required
Recipients	Select users or roles	Yes
Subject	Message subject line	Yes
Body	Message content	Yes
Priority	Normal, high, or urgent	No
Attachments	Attach files if needed	No

4. Send

Message Inbox

Your inbox shows:

• Unread messages — Highlighted for attention
• Read messages — Previously viewed
• Sent messages — Messages you've sent
• System notifications — Automated alerts

Notification Preferences

Users can configure their notification preferences:

• In-app notifications — Shown in the notification bell
• Email notifications — Sent to the user's email address
• SMS notifications — Sent to the user's phone (if configured)

Notification channels (email, SMS) must be configured at the system level before they are available to users. See Configurations for communication settings.
