TIP

The product setup controls the account behavior users experience later. If an account cannot be opened, funded, withdrawn from, or processed in EOD as expected, review the deposit product, product flags, pricing profile, GL mappings, and account status before treating it as a transaction problem.

Typical Deposit Lifecycle

  1. Configure the deposit product.
  2. Open a deposit account.
  3. Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, or account instructions.
  4. Apply holds or blocks where needed.
  5. Run interest and EOD activity according to configuration.
  6. Manage fixed deposits, savings plans, or community fund activity where applicable.
  7. Close or restrict accounts according to policy.

For a concrete account example, see Deposit Account Opening To Close.

Key Controls

Deposit products control interest, fees, dormancy, minimum balance behavior, holds, withdrawal restrictions, fixed deposit behavior, and accounting treatment. Product setup should be reviewed before accounts are opened.
