Branding Configuration

Branding Configuration controls how the tenant appears in staff screens, customer-facing outputs, and generated documents. It should match the organisation’s approved identity before live invoices, statements, receipts, certificates, letters, or messages are issued.

What Branding Affects

Branding can affect:

  • Organisation name and display identity.
  • Logo presentation in screens and generated outputs.
  • Theme colours where visual customisation is enabled.
  • Headers, footers, and identity blocks in documents.
  • Customer-facing communication and staff-facing reports.

Branding is a shared administrative setting. A change made here can affect many modules at once, so review it as an organisation-level control rather than a single-page preference.

Before You Change Branding

Confirm:

  • The official organisation name is correct.
  • The logo is current, clear, and suitable for printed and digital documents.
  • The colours match the approved brand guidelines.
  • Generated outputs remain readable in both screen and print formats.
  • Customer-facing outputs do not show temporary or test branding.

Review After Changes

After updating branding, check representative outputs from the modules the tenant uses most often, such as invoices, receipts, statements, certificates, letters, SMS/email templates, and exported reports.

If a generated output looks wrong after a branding update, check whether the issue is the branding setting itself or the document/template layout that uses the branding.

Common Mistakes

  • Uploading a low-resolution logo that looks poor on printed outputs.
  • Changing brand colours without checking contrast and readability.
  • Reviewing only the administration screen and not generated documents.
  • Using temporary implementation branding in a live tenant.
  • Forgetting that customer-facing messages may also use the same identity.

Good Practice

Treat branding changes as controlled administration changes. Make them before live rollout or during a planned maintenance window, then verify the most common customer and internal outputs before users continue issuing documents.
